Project included: The replacement of the owner supplied clarifier drive unit. The old drive unit was damaged due to sandblasting media entering the drive unit from a previous contractor. Work included shoring the drive cage, removing the bridge, disconnecting and reconnecting all electrical, installing the drive, reassembly of the bridge and leveling the drive unit. Special rigging was designed and used to lift both the drive unit and the bridge from inside the enclosed clarifier building.
